As far as the actual branding, because I'm a newer addition to the Eyre clan....let's just say I'm still getting use to it. This year was my second exposure to the whole thing; having grown up working on my dad's farm, I thought for sure I'd be able to jump right in and help on the ranch. I'm quickly learning, however, that farming and ranching are two completely different worlds. I love watching all of the brothers on their horses rounding up the cows down on the river bottom to push them into the corrals. However, once the nitty gritty of all the branding starts I have a harder time. Hopefully with time, I'll be able to jump in with the best of them. But for now, I'm happy observing from a distance!
Here are a few pictures to give you a taste of the whole thing!

That is like a movie, I love it! Cami, quit being a wus, and show them what a Gilbert can do. Roll up your sleaves and jump in there! Hey, have you guys figured out where you are going? Do you need to take a trip to TX, to see how great it is here?
That was the best commentary on branding I have seen. That is why I can make lunch for them and bake bread, but don't brand well. Hopefully we will get down there one year to join in the shindig. Julie
I just noticed that in one picture, Odin is holding the key to my motorcycle. I'm not sure how it got down there because it started in my room, and I got it from Seth later. It's amazing that I got home with it. Good pictorial, Cami!

What a fun hard but fun life! That sounds like a blast! I miss you guys a bunch!
I'm so glad you posted pictures of branding! I couldn't do it! It's looks exciting though and very rugged, you could submit those pictures to some Montana/Outdoor magazine! I hope you are doing great!
Cami! Oh my gosh it's been forever. How are you doing? I am so glad you found me on my blog? So whats new? I looks like you're doing great! Congrats!
