Road Trippin'

Our little Briggs has been a travelin' man so far this summer and will continue to be for the remainder of the summer.

We have been pleased to discover that he actually travels quite well (knock on wood)! On longer trips, one of us is sitting in the back with him at all times, so he probably loves having a captive audience all day long.
Our first trip of the summer (and Briggs' first car trip of more than an hour) was to Utah for my uncle's funeral. It was a bitter sweet reunion with family we don't get to see very often. My uncle had been suffering from cancer and other ailments for a lot of years, so it was good to know he was finally free from his pains. However, that being said...he will be greatly missed!

We then got to see my newest little nephew, Levi, be blessed in Utah. We're excited for he and Briggs to be the best of pals some day!!

We then went on to Wyoming to spend the better part of a week with Blair's parents. It was great for Briggs to get to know his grandma and grandpa Eyre a bit better. Blair enjoyed sometime out on the ranch far from the worries of life, and we both enjoyed catching up with his parents, and grandma Blanche. We even got to see his Brothers Brandon and Dave and their families, and saw Matt and Dannielle in Boise on the way home. It was a great time! Thanks Jim and Becky for having us!

And here is evidence of one of the many deer seen prancing through Jim and Becky's backyard. Lyman is a beautiful place.
All in all, our first road trip of many this summer was a smashing success. Briggs' world was turned upside down, but he handled it like a champ...I think he even enjoyed it :)
