Briggs got the traditional green light to chow down on his very own cupcake!! He looks rather confused and maybe a bit concerned in this first picture as we are singing Happy Birthday to him.
However, he quickly decides he likes this whole birthday thing!! I'm pretty sure his thoughts were something like this:
"Wait...are you sure this is okay? If you say so....?"
Back off...it's mine!"
"All mine!!"
"Oh...I'm so sorry! I don't know what came over me."
OK, just kidding. He was actually really cute about it and REALLY enjoyed it. However, for the next few days as Blair and I ate the left over cupcakes...he definitely had a look of envy in his eye :) What a double standard we set!!
Then he opened a few presents! The main gift being his new car seat!! Kinda lame...I know. But he doesn't know the difference.
That evening we went for a little Sunday drive so Briggs could try out his new forward facing carseat!! A pretty big milestone.
....and he decided that carseat was the best birthday present a one year old boy could ask for!

I really like the picture of all of you in the car! that is so fun... :) It is so crazy how the last year pasted SO fast huh? He is still such a doll... if you can say that about lil boys:)
