First Christmas

We had a pretty relaxed Christmas this year with my parents! It was just what the doctor ordered (literally) because I was recovering from a tear duct/nose surgery. It was a bummer to be laid up for the holidays, but it was best that way because Blair was off of school for two weeks and could help take care of Briggs. I wasn't suppose to lift Briggs for two weeks, so it was a good thing Blair was around all day!!

It was Briggs first Christmas and it was really fun to watch him experiencing so many new things. I'm pretty sure he was more excited about the wrapping than the presents (which I kind of expected) but he seemed excited by all of the new things around to play with!

This picture made me laugh. It looks like he's thinking "you paid what for this?"

Sporting some new duds from his Aunt Nikki and Uncle Dave (thanks so much!!) and hanging out with his cousin Malea.

One of his cousins must have tied him a handkerchief cape...? But I love this pictue of him with Grandma!

It was a great Christmas even though I don't think Briggs had any idea what was going on:) As the years pass, however, I hope that we can create the same magic for Briggs that my parents created for me growing up at Christmas!! And even more importantly, I hope we can teach him the real reason for the season!
