Milestones!

I remember when parents use to talk about their baby rolling over for the first time like it was a big deal...inside I would be thinking that it was such a silly thing to be so excited about. However, I am now eating my own words (or should I say thoughts). I get it now! Briggs rolled over for the first time the other night, and you'd think he'd done a tap dance for us! We were so excited! However, once he rolled over, he remembered how much he hates being on his stomach and wasn't too happy about it. Here he is half-way there!

Another rather big thing for me was his first haircut! Okay, don't get too excited...I didn't chop it all off. He just had some stray hairs that were about an inch and a half over his ears and he was also developing a bit of a mullet with some longer hair at the base of his neck. I've been wanting to do it for a while, but for some reason I couldn't bring myself to pull out the scissors. It just seemed sad to be cutting a three (almost four) month old's hair. However, now that I have...I must admit it looks much better. No one else will probably even notice...but I definitely won't be missing the wings or mullet :)
So, long story short, I am now a mom who thinks that every little milestone of my baby is the most amazing thing ever. And that's because it really is :)

Cute post! It is funny how all of those little things are so important to a mother. Briggs is so cute with all that hair!

So true! I love all the little milestones - so far Liv has only rolled over. You can't forget smiling and laughing though. Those have been the best!
