"Would you like to buy a picture for a dollar?" they asked in unison.
Did I really want a picture of who knows what from some little girls I didn't even know....NO. But could I turn them down....of course not. I don't usually keep much cash around, so I had to gather up some coins. I handed them the money and they gave me my choice of many different drawings. Each with a little handwritten "$1" at the top. Quite the little wheelers and dealers :) Doesn't a cup of lemonade at a road-side stand only cost like 50 cents...? Inflation must be setting in :)
Anyway....I picked out my picture, thanked them, and went inside.
Then I got to thinking. Man, those little girls were going to make some serious money in not much time (that is assuming no one else could say no to their offer). I bet they ended the day with close to $50. Wow, that's a TON of money for such little girls. I think I had to work a whole summer on the farm to earn that much at that age.
So I kept thinking....and got a brilliant idea. When Briggs gets old enough to walk and talk and draw...you get the idea :) We'll be rich!!!
Just kidding obviously....
or am I?
:)
