Briggs Ramblings

I realized it's been a while since I have given a Briggs update. Especially for family who is far away, I wanted to show a few of Briggs' latest and greatest!

Whether or not all of his skills are early or late or right on track....we find them amazing none the less :)

He's finally decided he doesn't mind sitting up and is pretty good at it now!

As of about the last few days, Briggs is beginning to master the art of scooting! He has been getting around really well for quite a while by rolling to get where he wants; but he has now realized that he can move forward, and he seems to think it's pretty nice!

Oh, and a few quick notes about that video:
1. We didn't add that fancy music as a soundtrack for Briggs' beautiful scooting...Blair was just watching some constitution video on the internet in the background with that music :)
2. We do think Briggs is pretty talented, but he wasn't scooting on the wall...I just couldn't get the video turned around! (I need to remember not to flip my camera when I'm filming)
3. Sorry about the pixelated nature of the video...I'm still learning how to make video files small enough to upload but not have poor quality.

I SPY: two little teeth! If you look closely at the pictures below (or click on them to view them larger) you can see them as well. I'm so happy that they have finally broken through the skin... he's been working at them for quite a while. He's been kinda miserable in the process, which tends to make me feel a little the same way :)
Although I think they add a whole lot of cuteness to his smile...I must admit I will miss the 100% gummy grin!
His latest love: frozen peaches! I just freeze a few slices of my bottled peaches and slip them into this cool thing I found at walmart! He LOVES it and I don't have to worry about him choking on anything. However, we did learn to strip him down to just a diaper when he has them. As you can see from the pictures below...he becomes a soaking wet and sticky peach mess when he's all done.

Note to self: Don't buy these kind of blinds when we can pick out our own someday! He thinks they're pretty fun, but I think he might rip them all down before long :)

I went in to look at him during one of his naps (because I like to do that often), and this was the pose I found him in. Looks to me like he was dreaming about being baptized!

He thinks he's pretty cute and likes to take pictures of himself :) Doesn't it look like that in this picture....I laughed a lot when I looked at it that way.

And the newest skill: texting! Okay, obviously not really...but he does think phones are the coolest (especially when I call the one he's holding and it vibrates and rings).

And just a couple more because I liked them...

Blair and I are amazed by how much more and more we love this little dude each and every day! I love all of the things he is learning, but I am realizing that he is growing up way TOO fast!

He is super cute you guys! I can't tell what color his hair is because it looks a little different in every picture. David's hair is like that too. I love the napping picture. haha.

Thanks for the updates, Cami. We appreciate them. Hope this finds you guys doing well and Blair enjoying his job.

It is amazing how fast these cute little guys (and girls) grow up. I find it to be an amazing process.
