Christmas-ish

This was a December we'll always remember...so much hustle and bustle from the holidays, but what was really occupying most of my thoughts had very little to do with Christmas :)

I love this picture, but Briggs really had no clue there was a baby in there.  If we ever asked him about what was in mama's tummy, he'd always start talking about belly buttons :)

My sister in law gave us this little outfit for Briggs a long time ago, and I was so excited when it finally fit!  Such a handsome little dude!!

Just documenting the belly.  This was one of the last "belly" shots I took....probably a few weeks before Walker was born.

Briggs wasn't such a fan of Santa this year.  Plus, we decided to hold off talking about Santa this year because he was getting Santa and Jesus confused quite often!  Once, pointing to a picture of Santa Claus he said, "It's Santa Jesus!"  Must be the beard?!?  Since we've stopped mentioning Santa, however, the confusion has definitely cleared up....whew!

A week or two before Christmas,  our stake had a nativity display that we went to look at; they had a set up where you could take a picture of your family all dressed up in the nativity scene.  We didn't dress up, but I'm so glad we hurried and got our picture taken.  Blair wasn't really in the mood and we almost didn't do it, but I'm SO glad I changed his mind.  I love that Briggs is holding the baby in the pic, and about a week or two later Walker was born. I'm pretty sure this is a picture i'll always treasure!

Considering the fact that I REALLY didn't want to have my baby on Christmas day, we laid really low that day.  Blair and Briggs went to Church, and I stayed home doing VERY little!  That's why we don't have a lot of pics of the day, and the festivities were few!!

Briggs really started to get the hang of opening presents this year.  That made it a lot of fun for sure!  Here he is giving his Woody doll a hug....needless to say, he was a fan!!

And here's Woody getting ready for a tractor ride!

Here, Blair is teaching Briggs how to load and haul "hay" with his tractor and wagon.  I think Blair was having more fun than Briggs :)
I was sorta on an emotional rollercoaster through the holidays this year not knowing for sure when little Walker was going to join our family!  The last three Christmases I have either been pregnant or recovering from surgery, so let's just say I'm looking forward to next Christmas when I won't be any of those things :)

All that said, it was actually sorta nice to have our own quiet little Christmas with our own little family of three....that grew to four three days later.
