Be forewarned...this is some rambling thoughts and I'm sure the run-ons will be rampant :)
SO...I've obviously fallen off the old blogging bandwagon :) And I'm still not sure if I'm ever going to get back on.....? At least not in the same way I've been doing it.
I want to document my family's memories, but I'm thinking this may not be the way I want to continue doing it? I think I may start printing a "yearbook" each year, and record our memories that way. This just seems to become more of a stress than anything else. I enjoy it when I can jump on and post a memory in the moment, but I never feel like I can do that becuase I get behind and think....but first I need to post about thanksgiving, and can't forget christmas, and then two birthdays, easter, fourth of july, and oh yeah....there's summer vacations....and about then I give up and move on to something else :) And I can't just start fresh with today, because then I feel guilty that Walker's first year and a half won't get documented....ya know? And that's a lot of catching up to do! But I think if I change this blog from a place where I HAVE to document our ENTIRE life, to a place where I can document occasional thoughts and cute moments....I might actually post more frequently...and enjoy doing it.
So, here's a random thought :) I saw this video today and it struck a chord with me.... and i wanted to be sure and post it somewhere so I could share it and remember it! I have recently discovered that I love restoring and or making over old things. It may have started out of necessity, because of a very limited decor budget :) However, it has become something I find great joy and satisfaction in and....well.....just watch this video :)
I LOVE that! Like I want to run to my grandma's house RIGHT NOW and search her old shed for some old treasures :)
I want my house to tell a story...but still be cute at the same time :)
And then I got to thinking....my blog is called eyrelooms, what if i start using my blog to share some of my projects....? Hmmm....no announcements here....just thinking out loud. We'll see :)
Wow, that felt good....a post and no guilt over all the things I haven't posted....I think I can get use to this!
